Lorinda is a founding board member of the B.C. Addiction Recovery Association and the Executive Director of the Orchard Recovery Center on Bowen Island. Additionally, she is a founding board member and Vice President of the Recovery Day Vancouver Society, a committee member with the Bowen Island Community Youth At Risk Foundation and a volunteer with the Cinderella Project for vulnerable youth. Her experience also includes five years as a committee member with the B.C. Center for Substance Use. She co-founded Faces and Voices of Recovery Canada and has been a guest speaker at the Government of Canada Standing Committee of Health. As a person in long-term recovery (since 1989), she brings an unwavering commitment to projects advocating for awareness, prevention and reducing the societal misconceptions surrounding addiction and recovery.
