Brenda Plant
Chair

Brenda Plant has over 40 years’ experience in the non-profit sector specializing in addictions, mental health and domestic violence. She attended Willamette University in Oregon and is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and Addictions Program Administrator. She has extensive experience in planning and development, ensuring contract and national accreditation compliance, and responsible fiscal management. Brenda provides community leadership through networking with community leaders, advocacy groups and government. She currently serves on numerous boards and committees and works closely with the BC Center on Substance Use and the StreetoHome Foundation. She was a founding member and currently serves as Board Chair of the newly formed BC Addictions Recovery Association (BCARA). She is a recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
